Bath Time Baby

Sawyer LOVES bath time! In fact, the other day, he crawled over to the bathtub, hoisted himself up and held onto the tub ledge, then looked inside at all his toys and started clapping. So cute!

He loves to splash and play--we can't wait for the pool to warm up and get this little guy swimming!

Deja Vu?

Grammie ordered a few more so now we have Don Quixote Sr. and Don Quixote III. Can you tell which is which? Sawyer can...he knows which ones are the imposters--they don't smell like milk and baby saliva...we're working on that.

Sawyer has been working out...here he is doing push-ups--can't you see the muscle definition already?

Happy 8 Month Birthday Sawyer!

Sawyer is officially 8 months old and continues to amaze...

He wasn't sure what to do with the finger foods at first, but has since mastered the art of chomping. The first time he just kept sticking his tongue in and out with the puff on it!

So kissable!! Happy 8 Month Birthday Sawyer!!

So Cute...

I love these pictures because you can see his 2 little teeth on the bottom...they're sharp, but so cute!

...and I guess you can say that he is officially independently mobile. He's been doing an army crawl for a while and it's getting better and better. The speed of his crawl is directly related to what's on the other side...for example, if his toys are across the room, he'll probably make his way over slowly, if at all. However, if Giacomo's rawhide bone is on the other side, he'll make a B-line directly to it and try to put it it in his mouth. He's getting pretty quick...time to put up the baby gates!

Love, love, love that smile!

Our New Method...

Sawyer has turned into quite the little wiggle worm...every time we try to change his diaper he flips over like a super-fast ninja...so now we have to pin him down (gently of course) with our leg so we can put on a clean diaper.

This was prompted by the fact that he came home from grammie and papa's house with one butt cheek hanging out of his diaper, which of course had let the poop escape. Apparently he was "wiggling around too much," but at least it was funny and we had a spare outfit. This new method seems to do the trick pretty well!

Happy Birthday Dr. Seuss!

Last Tuesday was Dr. Seuss' birthday and Read Across America so I made these hats with my kindergarteners. I also made Sawyer a mini version and we read The Cat in the Hat together. He kept the hat on for a long time...I think he actually liked it!

You know you're out of shape when...

Willie was at school last night so when I got home from work, I quickly changed clothes, then went running with Sawyer in our Jogging stroller and Giacomo by my side. I'll admit, I only ran about 1 mile and I'm by no means used to this so I wasn't very speedy...

You know you're out of shape when...you go jogging with your dachshund, only to look over and find him WALKING, with an occasional little run in between to pass me up again. Granted, he does have longer legs than most dachshunds, but still...show off.
