Happy 9 Month Birthday Sawyer!!

Doesn't he look like such a big boy?

Sawyer is 9 months old today and is now in the 50th percentile, weighing in yesterday at 20 lbs, 12 oz. So I guess people can stop commenting on how big he is for his age since he's evening out now. Tooth #3 is coming in on top and his newest thing is standing up everywhere he goes. He loves to climb on things and watch how everything works...especially the dryer!

He got a ball for Easter and both he and Giacomo have gotten lots of fun climbing on it and bouncing it off of each other!

And yes, I started planning his 1st birthday party last month. He's going to have an owl themed party, so I made him his birthday shirt. It's an 18 month one so it should be just perfect for him by July, since he's already starting to wear some 12 month stuff now. It turned out so cute that now Willie wants me to make him one, but he wants a black shirt with a rat in his owl's mouth. I haven't gotten to that one yet...

It turned out to be super easy...I just cut out everyting from different fabric scraps I had, then ironed them on and sewed buttons on for the eyes. The pupils are actually a separate button and you can move them around so he's looking up, down, cross-eyed...etc...it's really funny!

Love, love, love our little guy!!! Happy 9 month birthday Sawyer!!

Sharing is Caring, Right?

So, Giacomo has always grazed throughout the day on his food and generally only scarfs it down when someone else wants it, like his friend Zoe, the chocolate lab. Well, lately, Sawyer had been very interested in watching Giacomo eat and trying to partake in the fun, which in turn makes Giac get a move on it and suddenly he turns into Kobayashi going for a food eating record...

Sawyer might not be as quick as the "Brown Bomber" but I'm sure you can guess what's in his hand...

and what's in his other hand...

Of course I got it out before any damage was done, but hey, sharing is caring, right?

But seriously, Giac is such a good dog...he just lays there and lets little baby hands pull and squeeze him...or discreetly inches just far enough away so hey can't reach much more than a leg!

Swing Baby!

We recently went to the park across the street from our house and tried the swings for the first time...

Sawyer LOVED it!!!!

In fact, other parents were commenting to their toddlers about how high "the baby" was going. Every time he'd start to slow down he'd kick his feet and grunt, meaning, "I wanna go higher!"
