Sawyer & His Aunties

Last weekend I found this onesie that says, "All I want for Christmas is my auntie" and 4 of Sawyer's aunties happened to be here on Wednesday. Danika came down and helped me decorate the house with Christmas stuff (yes, I've already decorated and yes, I know it's not Thanksgiving yet). My parents came over with my great auntie Del (93) and great aunt Sarah (88) and Sonia came over after work for yummy lasagna and oreo shakes. It was such a fun day and I actually felt like I got a lot accomplished. I could use a Wednesday off every week!

Sawyer went to the doctor on Wednesday morning for his check-up and shots.
Here are his current stats:
16 pounds, 5 ounces
25 and 3/4 inches long
80th percentile for both weight and height
(that's up in height from 75th and down in weight from 95th)

The doctor also said that Sawyer can start eating rice cereal mixed with his milk so here he is with his very first spoonful. He wasn't really sure about it at first and he didn't eat too much but he really liked holding the spoon and touching the food. He also slept 8 hours that night. Love it!

Happy 4 Month Birthday Sawyer!!

Our little man is 4 months old today!! It amazing to see how much he's grown...

Then...

Coming home from the hospital

Now...

Incredible, isn't it?

He Found It!!

Yep, he found his thumb. He happened upon it once before a while back but never really "discovered" it until Saturday. This weekend he actually took his pacifier out of his mouth and waved it around in the air as he sucked his other thumb. He loves it now and hopefully won't take after his mommy on this one. I sucked my thumb until 1st grade...far too long! I guess he was bound to get something from me!

He doesn't quite get that he can make a fist and still suck his thumb comfortably so he ends up poking himself in the eyes as he palms his face trying to get to his thumb. It sure is cute but I was hoping this would be one habit he wouldn't adopt!

It Takes a Village

This week Sawyer didn't go to daycare on Wednesday or Thursday because De Anne's son had the flu. On Wednesday my parents took care of him; My mom went into work late and my dad came home early so they tag teamed it. On Thursday Teresa took care of him and took him to Music Makers with Elek, then dropped him off for Dawn to watch him the rest of the day until Willie could get there after work. We're really lucky to have such wonderful family and friends that we can count on! Thanks guys!
When I came to get Sawyer on Wednesday, my dad was teaching him animal sounds. Sawyer liked the chicken sound the best...he thought it was funny :)

The Handsome Boy

No story...just cuteness.
